The Life Story of BTS KIM TAEHYUNG


Vocalist, Actor, Photographer V of BTS is one of the most desired men across the world. Not only for his multiple talents Kim TaeHyung is famous for his perfect visuals. In what position V is right now was not achieved in one day. Talking apart from his looks V has work harder for what he is now. The A.R.M.Y who grow up with the BTS must know that the path of success was not so smooth for any of them. BTS member V himself says- “I never dream to become so famous. I always thought I will be a farmer since I don’t have any friends, who have a vision for future”. So, let’s look over the life of BTS V. 


BTS V Full Name, Birthplace, Family, Education, and Previous Life

The full name of BTS V is Kim TaeHyung. Kim TaeHyung was born on December 30, 1995, in Daegu South Korea. In his family, V has Father, Mother, a Brother, and a Sister. V is the elder Son of His family. TaeTae’s was born into a family of farmers. His parents were busy so almost half of his life he spends with his Grandmother. V first aspired to be a professional singer at elementary school and eventually started taking saxophone at middle school. V began playing saxophone in 12 grade and his father who is also his role model also supports his dream telling him a singer should learn at least one musical instrument which led him to start learning the Saxophone. V completed his graduation from Korean Art high School situated at Soul along with another member of BTS JIMIN in 2014. And following a majority of BTS members, they went to Global Cyber University.


How V Join BIG HIT ENTERTAINMENT:

V initially become a trainee for BIG HIT Labels at the audition in Daegu. The behind story of TaeHyung joining BIG HIT is itself an interesting story. Basically, TaeHyung didn’t plan for any audition to BIG HIT. He went there with his friend to give him company, but end up giving an audition. Adding more fun he was the only one who got selected from Daegu. Even more, he gives an audition as a rapper that to without any preparation makes his place as a trainee for BIG HIT ENTERTAINMENT. V was a hidden member of BTS. No one knows him before the debut video trailer come out and people saw his name including other members. Eventually, everyone was curious about the new face of the rookie band BTS. No one knew about him. The real fact is that he was considered as a secret weapon of BIG HIT. Although no one knows him at the beginning we do see him at the cameo of “I am the one” music video. No one imagines he will a member of BTS. In June 2013 he debuts with the other members of BTS with the album “Took Over School”.


Work as a Member of BTS:

He was first credited as a composer in the most beautiful moment in life part 1 where he co-wrote and co-produced the song “Hold Me Tight”. He also contributed as a writer of the song named “Fun Boys”. For the song “Run” V’s melody was used with JungKook’s original lyrics for the next album the most beautiful moment in life part 2. He then did the same for his solo song “Stigma” from the album Wings which charted at 26 on the Gallon music chart and 10 on Billboard World Digital Singles chart. In 2016 during BTS’s 3rd Muster Concert V share with A.R.M.Y that his grandmother had passed away recently. Her passing was in the period of promotions BTS’s “Blood Sweat and Tears”. It was a really hard time for TaeHyung. May her grandmother rests in peace. 

In May 2018, his second solo song “Singularity” was released as the trailer for the BTS album “Love Yourself: Tear”. A month after its release the guardian added “Singularity” to its top 50 songs to the month of June 2018 playlist. Billboard included it to the critic's choice top 50 BTS songs at number 28. Overall “Singularity” was well received by the critics and was mentioned many years as critics choice list. The New work times ranked it 20th on its list of 65 best songs of 2018. Las Angeles Times pop music critic Mickle wood named it the 4th best and most play worthy song of 2018. The Guardian music critic Laura Snapes included it as one of her favorite tracks in 2018 best music albums and tracklist. On October 24 V received one of the youngest recipients of the prestigious 5th class “Hwagwan Order of Cultural” medal Awarded by the president of South Korea along with the other members of BTS for their role in the spread of South Korean culture. On June 14, 2019, V together with the fallow member of BTS J-HOPE collaborated with “Zara Larsson” on his song called “A Brand-New Day” For a soundtrack mobile game “BTS Universe”. 



Solo Work

V has also released an unofficial cover of “Someone Like You” by “Adale” which receives a lot of attention all. In 2015 V along with bandmate RM work on a variety show “Hello Counselor”. In 2016 he also participated in “Celebrity Bromance”. In the same year, V made his acting debut with a supporting role in the historical drama “Hwarang: The poet worrier youth” under his real name. He also collaborated along with his fallow BTS member JIN for the soundtrack “Even If I Die it’s You” for “Hwarang”. In June 2017 he released “4’O Clock” a song he co-produced with his fallow BTS member RM to celebrate BTS 4th anniversary. On January 13, 2019, V released his first solo track outside of BTS titled “Scenery” the baled song was written and composed by V who also photographed the cover artwork. It broke sound cloud records for reaching 100M streams from 20M in over 14 days the shortest time for the platform. Over the cores of 2 weeks, “Scenery” broke the daily streaming record 9 times. Setting the record of 11M stream in one day. The song receives lots of love and praise for its nostalgic and moving lyrics in the song. In 2020 V sung another OST for the “Itaewon Class” song named “Sweet Night” released on March 13,2020. Produced, the full English indie pop song is written and sung by V. Like the other songs this song also got a favorable review from all. And debuted at number 2 on Billboard’s U.S. Digital Song Chart. The highest debut for a Korean solo artist. Mood Maker V


V is a mood maker and a Social Butterfly. With his cute and naive charm, he makes friends with anyone he meets. His band made JungKook also stated that V is the one who helps him to come out of his shell and being less shy. Apart from the other talents, V is also a Photographer and Painter. V often shares his photos with A.R.M.Y’s via weavers. Even many of his artwork are uses as the cover of BTS member's songs. For the role of photographer and painter V also gives himself a name called “Vante”.  V Is the member of BTS who created the term “I purple you!” which become a via of sharing love between BTS and A.R.M.Y. Except from his bandmate V have other friends group called “WOOGA SQUAD” along with Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, Park Hyung Sik and walk singer PeakBoy.

In this year V lives many Hollywood stars and becomes the world's Number One Handsome man alive. Whatever style he picks he just makes a trademark for each style. Tae is also called GUCCI boy for his love for GUCCI. You call him Cute, Hot, or Dashing Tae Hyung is the trendsetter for whatever he does. Tae says “I am never worried about how I look, but I thank A.R.M.Y cause whatever I do they adore it”. The other member of BTS says V exactly looks like his father. 


With a beautiful voice deep like Ocean and a pure heart, Kim TaeHyung deserves all the love in this universe. Overall TaeHyung is the friend and a partner everyone wishes to be in their life.
